Diana
"Princes Diana" was a life-sized cake sculpture created from pound cake and buttercream icing. It had a specially built internal cake stand. This sculpture was made for a special display in Canada. After sending photos of the cake to Princess Di, Roland received a very nice letter from Buckingham Palace stating how much the Princess enjoyed seeing such a fantastic cake.
Elvis
This full life-sized cake sculpture of Elvis was created of buttercream icing for a gigantic a food and beverage show in Canada where many Elvis fans were on hand. They all agreed Elvis has never been so sweet!. This sculpture, like all Roland's life-sized creations, required a special, one-of-a-kind cake stand. The figure stood over 6 feet tall.
George Washington
George Washington was made as a display for the International Cake Decorator's convention in 1990 in Seattle, Washington. After the sculpture was displayed it was purchased by "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" and is now displayed at one of their museums. This is one of the few sculptures Roland had done using royal icing.
Christopher Columbus
This Christopher Columbus sculpture was created for an International Cake Exploration Societé's (ICES) convention that was held in Columbus, Ohio. It was the display used to greet attendees as they first came to the convention.
